This is not a probability of success.

I'm thinking of replacing my 18"GT3 sport design alloys and P Zero's with 19" Veloce XS and Michelin PS2 or Conti SC2s.

I was borderline anyway and you guys have made my mind up, will keep with the 18" and eventually move to the Michelin PS2 when the zeros have run their course.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm thinking of replacing my 18"GT3 sport design alloys and P Zero's with 19" Veloce XS and Michelin PS2 or Conti SC2s. What's the general consencise? Concerned more that the 996 C4 is not set up to take 19" as I think I read that here somewhere. Already have -30mm sports suspension, stick to 18"? Going ahead means selling the 18", refurbed perfectly only a month ago and new-ish P Zeros...

POST 2Original post

I say stick with 18's, especially if the car has been dropped by as much as 30mm. ~ Maxie

POST 3Original post

I would say stick with 18's as well - the ride comfort will suffer.

POST 4Original post

Pros for 19s: bling Cons for 19s: heavier wheels + poorer handling + harder ride + more expensive tyres. Go for 18s.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was borderline anyway and you guys have made my mind up, will keep with the 18" and eventually move to the Michelin PS2 when the zeros have run their course. Thanks

POST 10Original post

Stick with the 18" wheels. 19" will not be a nice ride, if 19" would be better Porsche would of fitted them from day one or in 2002 put them on the face lift.
