hi guys
just to introduce myself i'm shane, just picked up a 2001 996 Turbo.
has a full service history, and 45K on the clock bought from a lookers garage just been through a major service and all seemed ok.
took it out for a full day test and was more than happy, am just a bit nervous as it is my first 911, was hoping to get any advise from some of you guys on things to look out for like warranty issues and any things that I would need to keep a eye out for?

tiptronic (had to the other half drives it to school during the week and a clutch would have lasted to the end of the drive!!!!)
i am only using it for weekend driving, my girlfriend is going to drive it during the week. (have a 100 mile drive to work every day)

anyone got any recommendations on the best tyres to fit will be due a set in about 6-8 weeks???

I did Automotive Engineering at University and even my 'petrol-head' lecturers had boring cars relative to that.
