This is not a probability of success.

Exactly the same thing happened to me last year and it was the heating element - fixed under the OPC warramty though.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Porsche Club GB: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Got a problem with my heated seat 996 C4S , when I press the rocket switch the light only come up for a second then turn off by itself. Can someone help!! I spoken to the dealer they say may be is the heating element inside the seat is faulty that means they need to strip the whole seat. What a nightmare.

POST 2Original post

It might also be the control unit (relay) which is on the underside of the seat - you have to take the seat out to get to it.

POST 3Original post

Exactly the same thing happened to me last year and it was the heating element - fixed under the OPC warramty though. If you don't have a warranty, I believe it was in the region of £350 to be fixed. [:-]

POST 4Original post

I had the same thing, mine turned out to be a faulty switch! Again, covered under OPC warranty.
