Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Does anyone still make a ducktail spoiler or does anyone know where I can get one? A lot of the companies from a few years ago don't seem to be making them anymore.
Thanks rick178.
Our Spoiler is about twice the size of the OEM unit (photo shows stock yellow on top of a CF Spoiler) and is a simple direct replacement. No modifications are required to your car and you only need a few hand tools.
We also sell Side Vents for the 987.1 and 987.2 and Front Splitters for the 987.1
For anyone interested in our parts you can send a private message or it might be best to contact direct-

For payments we use PayPal. If you are an International customer currency conversion is handled direct through PayPal.
We do sell on eBay but with all the fees it much better to contact direct or through Planet 9.
Thanks,
Dave
There is increased force but not as much as a fixed Wing. We do have Front Splitters as well to help balance the car.

Dave's the real deal...his spoiler hits the sweet spot...not too big, not too small!
FYI...A spoiler, by definition & function, does not add down force. It's function is to disrupt the air flow over the car from creating LIFT.
Rehashing an older thread..
Doesn't plainsman have a point that these duck bill wings will increase downforce or reduce lift at the rear thereby adding to the floatiness of the front at speed?
Hello. I have tried few route to get in touch with Dave or PDP, but no LUCK. Does anyone know if PDP still in Business? I wanted to inquire regarding Ducktail and Side Vent Scoop for my 08
Cayman
aka 987. Please advise.
Thank you,
Eddie
Hi Eddie,

Hi Dave,
I tried searching Precision Design Plastics and can;t find your website. Appreciate a point for me to see what you have for a
987.2
.
Do you also have any tests results and data to share on how the ducktail affects aero?
Thanks.
I have been looking for a ducktail spoiler for my
987.1
. It's not high on my Mods List but it's a nice distraction. Would like to see it available for purchase and not just on used cars for sale.
I know this is an old resurrected thread, but Joe Toth makes a ducktail.

Getty Design makes one that I have on my car, but DO NOT get one from them unless you're willing to take your back bumper off and fix their mess of a system that leaks water in through their bracket system because you'll have to seal it off by either a mess of silicon or additional gaskets. Taking the bumper off itself is not hard but to even get to the brackets from the inside you need to basically take all the plastic trim off from the doors backwards (stupid
Porsche
design, I know). After that you need to keep taking the bumper on and off for positioning and aligning the ducktail to the body and then after that when the brackets are in their original position you can put the silicon goop on. But it's an absolute pain and nightmare for someone who wants a quick and easy installation with the option of an easy removal. Not to mention that you have to prep and sand the ducktail to the body lines when you first get it. So if you want to have a true, flowing ducktail that is true to the body lines you would want this. Otherwise STAY AWAY.
Looks great. It's just enough spoiler for that application. At least I think so. Actually fits the design lines really well.
