Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey guys, I was driving home tonight, mostly highway for around 30 minutes, pulled into the driveway and my check engine light came on. Plugged in my GoPoint BT1 OBD scanner and got a P1328 error. I attached an image of what it reported, cylinder 4 or knock sensor 2 (bank 1). As for Porsche codes, this was all I could find on it: P1328 Inlet camshaft output stage I reset the CEL, restarted the car and everything seems to be ok. I'm planning to take it out for a spin tomorrow to see if it comes back. Think it's anything to worry about as long as the CEL doesn't come back? Thanks! Chris

P1328 is bank 1 inlet camshaft output stage - open circuit. Basically you need to check the wiring continuity between the DME and the variocam timing solenoid (like a spark plug installed on the bank 1 cam cover) and if the solenoid gets 12v power and the internal resistance of the solenoid (8-12ohms @ 20C).

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
