Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

good evening all,
as a relative new comer to the porsche owners club can you guys advice me on the warranty situation.
the car i bought is a late 2001 996tt with 45K bought from a local dealer (not opc) they have sold it with a 12 month warranty, but i'm not sure i have called into agnews (opc in belfast) and they have given me a copy of the fsh.
nothing on the fsh highlights any problems and the car has a full porsche service history.
i have spoken to the dealer that i bought the car and he assures me that any problems will be covered by their warranty, i just don't know. advice would be greatly appreciated.
cheers in advance
shane
Get the Porsche Manufacturer extended warranty.
will your dealer replace your engine/gearbox if it goes? Not common but there are a lot of other smaller things that can go with 996s (radiators, coil pack, sensors) that IMHO £895 warranty gives you the peace of mind that if anything goes wrong you are covered.
you also get european roadside assistance
I think there are a few terms that are worth taking account of. I think there is a recent post with the OPC warranty information - whats covered (not not) (copy of the leaflet).
That being said, OPC is the best you going to get for your 911 especially for reassurance and peace of mind.
Without hijacking the thread, isnt European roadside cover included with all porsche with fpsh or does that just cover uk?
Cheers
>that if anything goes wrong you are covered
major items are covered, but suprisingly some iteams, such as electric motors (I believe), are not.
definitely search for the thread on this, as it does highlight what's covered.
That said, agree 100% with the comments, the OPC warranty is the one to get.
