The lever for the OBC works when I move it up-and-down and changes the values appearing within the bottom part of the odometer.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am reposting a part of what I posted a few days ago, since I got no reply for my question. I cannot activate the OBC by moving the lever forward or backward as the user's manual says. The lever for the OBC works when I move it up-and-down and changes the values appearing within the bottom part of the odometer. However, when pressed outward, which is supposed to activate the OBC, so that you could go to the setup and change various settings does not work. Am I missing a trick, or there is something wrong with the system? Thank you for your time in advance! Zack

What do you mean by pushing it forward the only direction I have for pushing forward is to set the speed gong (P60 & P61) what are you reading as this may help? Could it be you do not have the OBC operating at all if so I understood this to be a factory set. (I dont have the OBC lever but do have cruise!) O_Sr

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Dear Oil_Slickrick: I am referring to p. 82 and 83 of the user's manual (P. 82 is attached. Cheers, Zack

POST 4Original post

What year is your car? Did it come with the obc lever as stock or did someone add it? If it was added you might have to have a dealer wake it up.

Also, if it was added, perhaps someone wired it wrong in the first place.
