Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

When I check the headlights, I can see that the connectors are a bit different from my Californian's.
Leading evidence: 'Check headlights, i can see' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check headlights, i can see' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Does somebody knows how the dismount these connectors and how to change the order of pins?

Suggestion
Chances are the only differences are with the engine harness, but I would do a continuity test between the pin and bulb socket to double check.

Use google to find your schematic and do a continuity test to double check.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi there
Just bought (almost) new headlights for my 02 996 convertible. Bought on eBay from Germany. No yellow eyes anymore :-)
But…… if Xenon, park lights and turns are working well, I have no hi-beam, no fog lights.
When I check the headlights, I can see that the connectors are a bit different from my Californian's. Pins are not placed the same. :-/
Does somebody knows how the dismount these connectors and how to change the order of pins?
Do you think the Porsche dealer would fix that?
PS. Sorry for my english. I'm a french guy living in NY. There's no way for me to learn english here :-))
Thx
Looks like a typical DC voltage connector. McMaster sells extraction tools, but you'll need to gain access to the other side of that connector to remove the pins from the plug.
If you can source a male and female set of plugs, you could wire up a crossover cable to take care of the swapped wire order. You could do the same thing with 12 individual jumpers, but that would be kind of ugly.
F**ck !!
It's super smart!!!
It's inside the fender… no one cares. I plan to keep that car forever anyway.
And I use to race on motorcycle. I've done much uglier !! ^^
Thank you!
Do you know where I can buy these connectors?
Why not just take the US plug from his current headlights and swamp them into the Euro spec. The car already has the US spec and pins are most likely identical.
As a matter of fact, the plugs look identical other than the color. The only difference is the pin lay out. Just re-arrange the pins.
Use google to find your schematic and do a continuity test to double check. Good luck
That's why I'd like to know how to reorder it.
But I like the idea of the "bridge". It allows me to build it without having everything spread in the street (NYC!!!)
Second schematic after the table of contents. Right side shows you what wire colors go to which pin location. Note it says it's for a 99-00. Chances are the only differences are with the engine harness, but I would do a continuity test between the pin and bulb socket to double check.
