Got my Das Schild today but it has several flaws in the painted surface. It appears that it was not fully painted? See below. Anyone else have this?
Several of the push pins had fallen out so be sure and check the box and bag carefully. I almost lost mine.

It looks like the cover has been folded in those areas. Could that occurred during shipping?
I have had an earlier version of it without the center push pins and they have replaced it without any questions. They also have arranged and paid for theUPS pickup / delivery of the old schild.

Looks like damage in shipping to me, call them and I'm sure they'll make it right.
The shipping box was a mess so you all are probably correct. No answer from them to my e-mail so I'll call in the a.m. Thanks.
hope mine looks better than that.....good luck.
Received mine today. The box looked a little tattered, but happily the shield was in perfect condition. Santa Fe, the picture makes yours look Grey, perhaps the flash. Mine is jet black.
It is black. Bright sunshine made it appear grey. I don't know if the flaws are a bad paint job or damage due to shipping but credit goes to das Schild for responding by sending out a replacement. That is the sign of a good company aware of its customers.
I will report back when i get mine, still waiting.....
It took less than 5 minutes to install. Great product, good fit, nice design and easy install. Another gold star for a Cayman Club sponsor.
Mine arrived this past week - box pristine, product perfect. Installed in minutes - works and looks great. Sounds like yours got mangled in shipping. Das Shield get a gold star in my book too.
Got mine last week. I agree with all; great product, easy installation, looks good. My only complaint is that it is too expensive. They obviously know their market.
