Am i right in thinking when i change the tiptronic gearbox atf oil that the atf oil should be RED in colour .Just that when i saw them change an automatic gearbox on a 986 Boxster on Wheeler s Dealers it was a clear colour.

Not quite, you need an ATF that meets the specs for your transmission; not all ATF's are the same, and using the wrong one can kill the gear box.

ATF color is dye, so you can make it just about any color you want, or no color at all.....
