Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Here they are all ready to be fitted back on the car.
Leading evidence: 'Install back' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check every year' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. I've just used Pro Calipers to resolve a seized nipple, they did it quickly and without resorting to a Time Sert.

I put some Aluslip on them but intend to check every year.

For sure they would have snapped using anything else.

When you do the rest I would put lots of heat on the bolt first and then use an impact drill on the lowest torque setting and the right size bit on the end of it.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Going on from my last thread "dilema", the brakes need replacing, so I have chosen to go with a supplier most of you will have heard of. Design 911.
They do a disc 20mm larger in diameter, so I ordered discs, pads, all the.shims, rear hand brake shoes, all the springs and wear indicators.
I duly set about the replacement. Heres the work so far..
Brake nipples can be a real pain, perhaps best not to mess with them on painted callipers, there is a chap in London who can remove them and supply new nipples in stainless or original Brembo parts... Sorry cant remember the name off the top of my head but will look it up if you are interested... :?:

He gets them sorted same day and you have them back the next day.
When you do the rest I would put lots of heat on the bolt first and then use an impact drill on the lowest torque setting and the right size bit on the end of it. This will sort of shock the nipple free without ever putting enough pressure on it to snap it.
I fell your pain, I went though this and put in my thread here...

I decided to uno all the bleed screws before sending mine off, just in case I needed to send him a couple.
In the end I didn't send it away. My front nearside calliper only on the inside bleed screw, so I just too the calliper off the car and held it at different angles and tapped it with a rubber mallet to get any air out.
Worked fine, and may places only undo the inside bleed when the callipers have been off the lines.
So I can sort that at a later date as my car
shouldn't
need that for a very long time now.
Good luck!
Don't carry on without using heat and a low torque impact driver of some sort.
I managed to get one out on another car that looked worse than the 996 manifold bolts using this method.
I think they are torqued to around 12ft/lbs, or meant to be. I think most do them 3 times that as they are brakes and want to 'play it safe'.
I've just used Pro Calipers to resolve a seized nipple, they did it quickly and without resorting to a Time Sert.
I also opted for the Brembo replacement nipples reasoning that the originals lasted 13 years.
I put some Aluslip on them but intend to check every year.
All four calipers went off to Pro-Calipers to have the broken nipples removed, and all new seals, and all threads repaired or just tapped to clean them up.
Here they are all ready to be fitted back on the car. Just waiting for the parcel of new parts to arrive so I can get on with the job.
I have to say, that if anyone is looking for a reliable service, this company comes well recomended.
