Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Nice drive from Bristol to Hereford on a Saturday afternoon. Fuel tank said just under a quarter and as I drove off onto the M4 predicted miles kept on rising. You can see where this is going right? Currently sat on the A465 waiting for the AA loss of power and won’t restart. Fingers crossed it’s the fuel gauge that was lying to me!

POST 2Original post

If you fill up less than 50% on a refuel the gauge is not accurate on a 996 turbo. Same on 997.1 turbo. Hopefully just this.

POST 3Original post

On the plus side, even when it's broken down, your car still looks good!

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just got home after a fun day. AA man turned up with a gallon of fuel and the engine fired right up. Bit of a school boy error but fortunately it didn’t spoil a fine drive

POST 5Original post

Glad to hear it was as simple as that. Quite a few 911 models that have the AWD body use the saddle petrol tank. As long as you refuel to over half a tank it sorts it.

Thanks for the link. I had read this some time ago and knew (once stranded) that there was a thing with the 4wd chassis fuel tank. It was one of those trips where I didn’t pass a fuel station and was duped by the Algorithm :floor:
