Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

I brought it back to the dealer to get those items addressed that let me use a standard Cayman as a loaner which was cool because there really is a huge difference in the 2 cars.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I picked up my 07 Midnight Blue CS about 2 weeks ago. After driving it for a couple days I decided to detail it up and when doing so Noticed that on the 3rd brake lite some glue had seaped intothe light also part of the rubber trim near the roof rack was puckered. I brought it back to the dealer to get those items addressed that let me use a standard Cayman as a loaner which was cool because there really is a huge difference in the 2 cars. When I got the car back i started looking at it and just above the rear taillight drivers side there is about a 4 inch very light scratch.I called the dealer and they told me to bring it in they would take care of it.Unfortunately I was on my way to the west coast for a 2 week Xmas break and will not return till after the new year,What do you think the dealer is going to do about the scratch. I also noticed a small paint chip on the right rear above the wheel arch,am I being super picky or is trhis what happens when you pay over 60 K for a car?

POST 2Original post

UTI - I moved this into the "Cayman Complaints" forum from "off Topic." Seemed better suited here. If it's a light scratch, they'll have a good body shop buff it out. Are you being super picky? Maybe, but not really... lots of expensive cars have problems like this. Sit in the service dept. at a BMW or Lexus dealer, and you'll see some of the same things... ask the dealer to make them right to your satisfaction... these things probably happened on the boat trip on the way over from Finland, and are supposed to be caught by the inspection team at the docks, but they probably can't get everything. brad
