If the memorized seat position is set further away, when it recognizes the key for that position, it automatically moves the seat.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

I swear that sometimes when I return to the the car my seats are not in the position they were in when I left. I usually notice that I am further away from the pedals. Any ideas? Ninja driving monkeys (long-legged ones) driving my car when I am sleeping? I searched and couldn't find related threads.

POST 2Original post

I hate to tell you this Dave....... but you are shrinking!

POST 4Original post

Did you buy a Trunk Monkey? http://www.trunkmonkey.com

POST 5Original post

Could be your shoes I think this happens to me too. What I found out was that it was due to changing shoes. My shoes have different thickness soles or padding.

POST 6Original post

I'm sorry Dave. I was messing around with my uncle's shrinking device and accidentally shot you. There's only one way to stop the shrinking: Gamma rays. Better get treated 'cause you'll keep shrinking 'til theres nothing of you left!

POST 7Original post

Moving seat For a serious reply, I'll bet it's the seat memory function. If the memorized seat position is set further away, when it recognizes the key for that position, it automatically moves the seat.

POST 8Original post

That gets turned off when you add your car to the Registry.... http://www.planet-9.com/cayman.php?do=ext&perpage=25&page=9 Actually my guess is the same as Roberts.

POST 9Original post

My seats don't change but occasionally my side mirrors do. I blame it on kids pushing the mirrors in. I'm thankful that that's all they do.
