Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Hey everybody, My father just purchased an 06 cayman (non-s) last night. So this morning I had the opportunity to give it a short drive this morning. It seems like a very well balanced and composed car. However, what the heck is going on with the lumbar in the seats? The immutable placement of the lumbar is like 4 inches out. It is actually quite uncomfortable for my me. I know that old people with back problems, etc. prefer lumbar, but I do not think it promotes a healthy driving position in terms of being alert. Rather, it thrusts my pelvis out and makes it difficult for me to become comfortable with taking corners hard. I drive an '87 944 turbo with corbeaus and I greatly prefer those $400 a piece seats over these extravagant Porsche buckets. On that note, I'd actually probably prefer the fixed seats I've sat in while driving spec miatas and cars of that like. Has anybody else noticed this? Doesn't it feel like the seat is attacking you lower back?

POST 2Original post

did you try adjusting the seat bottom up/down? it creates a different angle and changes your seating posture. on long trips, i adjust it several times to "flex/stretch" my lower back and even my legs. FWIW.
