Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

19 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OK, before everybody starts gushing with the "I love you bruh - Happy New Year" posts, let's spend some time seriously contemplating the highlights of the year that was 2015. What were your favorite parts. What were the parts that made you want to spew? I 'll start. There was one thread that particularly warmed the ol' cockles of my heart. An epic tale of despair and the ultimate triumph of good over, well, 6 months without a 996. And our hero emerged gloriously victorious with a bitchin' red . . . well, you know: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...t-is-over.html So, let's see what you guys remember most.

POST 2Original post

Why does your shifter set up look like it came out of a 2002 ford ranger?

POST 3Original post

^OUCH^ That's harsh! ... All I want to know is "Where in the world is Johnny Irish" ? I'm going to miss the barista threads in 2016...

POST 5Original post

Hmm, so many to choose from (in no order): - JI trading "up" to a GTI and buggering off. - The source of the new "call Jake" meme. - Someone (same as previous item) admitting that not only do they have an underwater loan on a 996, they took money from their 401k to pay for a new motor! - Some jackass gold plating their IMSB. - KK getting kicked in the nuts by Jake, going off the deep end, getting a temp banned, and moving on to the 996TT forum. - Highlights from the Hairdresser circuit. - Spatulas! I'm sure there is more worth mentioning, but I do have a job I'm supposed to be doing. I think that is enough to show that 2015 has been a good year though!

I kinda liked the whole "Where do you keep your phone/420/coffee/snack food/lunch/dog/wife/girlfriend/knife/gun/hookers-and-blow/vintage Rolex?" meme.

POST 8Original post

When I went through the spatula thread, It was hysterical. I've also been entertained with all the waves KC is making in turbo land.

How have we forgotten that this was finally the year of the 966! A dishonorable mention must be given to our buddy Yolav too.

You won't miss them. As quickly as I can move on one of three cars, I'll be back here with glowing reports on $350 oil changes and much much more. But I'm keeping the VW GTI...I really need it for my wife's sanity. Anyone here doing the MB2 karting in Sylmar?

POST 13Original post

- Roller bearings. - Calling the wrong company to complain about anything. - Vendors disconnecting their phones to provide better service. - Hats, shirts, bottle openers. - KC's fetish of ogling over semi-naked pix of Kalish. - Self publication. - Someone selling their 996 C4 aero and buying a turbo or a 944, I forgot which. Forgot what color, too. I think green. - The magical mystery x-country bus tour. - Kitchen utensil mods. - Human centipedes. - Oh, and the resurrection of CUDA911 from the ashes of a blown motor.

Ahhhh... Happy New Year John! Anyone who can take the bashing you have and still come back for more (with a sense of humor no less) is ok in my book!

POST 16Original post

Shoot 2015 marked my 1st year in a real Porsche in far to long. Still loving my 2001 Guards Red C4.

Psssst. Joe. Over here. Haven't you heard? A 996 isn't a "real" Porsche"
