Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have had my PSE for over 2 years now which i love, however i have noticed that i can get a rattle noise, i think it is when i press the switch and the exhaust goes into quiet mode, it then somtimes rattles, it then clears once driven, i have got my OPC to check it out and they did not find anything, i thought i would ask the people that really no on this Forum, so answers please. Car is going in for a service next week so can get them to look at it again. Thanks Phil

POST 2Original post

I would check the heatshields and see if they are the source of the vibration (when the engine is cool). If it is not a heat shield then you likely have a broken internal weld. If that is the case, then you either have to live with the rattle or replace the muffler.
