Jim, Don't know where you are but if in the west London area give Bracknell Tyre & Battery a call. They are the best on price and take care of your wheels, best to call and they will have for next day fitting. Don't be put off by the grotty premises and be prepared to get there early or wait in the queue. No connection with the company, just a customer.

Couldn't agree more on the Bracknell recommendation - avoid Saturday would be my other advice. Pirellis offer the highest wet weather grip, but are poor for mileage and tramline badly when part worn. Michelin the best all round option - not far behind the Pirellis on grip, good wear rate and consistent in performance.

Hi Jim. 10,500 miles and counting on my rear Micheline Pilot Sport N1's (2003 996 C2 manual) - and still about 1.5 - 2 mm off the limiter! Awesome grip too!

Try Jim Jeffreys in Stockton Heath - normally pretty competitive (well Kwik fit and other places buy from him !!)
