Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Do you think the owner drove every one of the 310,685 miles thinking... IMS, RMS, Bore scores.... http://youtu.be/CtEq9OeGF60 Been reading a lot lately on the American forums, yes some 996's have issues but others go on, and on, and on, and.......

POST 4Original post

Amazing how little comment this has generated compared to a "could my RMS go on this low mileage car I am thinking about buying" type thread

POST 5Original post

LOL, and no experts to explain why!. But then you cant make money if it doesn't break!.

POST 6Original post

What exactly does it tell us though? For all we know the engine was rebuilt 10 times over. I remember Autofarm telling us many years ago that they recommended the chains be replaced around 120,000 miles. So it would be interesting to know if that had been carried out on this car or if it just needed regular servicing and no major work.
