Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

Fitting a new airbag unit is quite straighforward (I've done the steering wheel one) but the dealer will need to reset the ECU anyway.

Can`t help with where, but I would get an expert to do it as a friend messed around with his once and set off the airbag.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just recently I noticed my Airbag light coming on an off on random stages. So I had the car pluged in to a diagnostics computer and the guy said it required a new Airbag Module. Anyone else ever experienced this? any ideas on cost and a good place to get one, would be something I could replace myself or is it a dealer job.

POST 2Original post

Can`t help with where, but I would get an expert to do it as a friend messed around with his once and set off the airbag. Then you would be looking for more than a module

POST 3Original post

You'd be looking for a good chiropractor or funeral service.

POST 4Original post

Fitting a new airbag unit is quite straighforward (I've done the steering wheel one) but the dealer will need to reset the ECU anyway. The labour element will be quite low. A good specialist with the Porsche diagnostic kit will be able to sort you out for less than an OPC.
