Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This noise is happening when it's warm. Here is how I can characterize the noise. Like if the spare wheel holder had come loose, making the spare wobble a bit. Seem to come from the front right section, just in front of the torpedo. It happens when you drive a while. Thanks in advance.

POST 2Original post

Sounds like the front spare has come loose. Have you checked its secure? Does it happen when you accelerate, brake, turn, hit bumps or just when the car is idling? Could be a control arm?

POST 3Original post

I had "clunking" from my rear. I changed the control arms and it went away. I would check the control arms. Good luck.

POST 4Original post

Or maybe just the drop links. Easy to replace and not expensive.

POST 5Original post

Very common, happens on all Boxsters eventually, just your control arms. Cheap to buy, very easy to change (one bolt at each end), 20 minute DIY job with the wheel off.
