Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I have a 996 c4s and got coolant leak from gearbox cooler,As anyone changed one of these,How hard to change.i also think it is an oil cooler for gearbox as well
Leading evidence: 'Use airlift tool they empted the coolant did vacuum' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace .i also think it is an oil cooler' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suggestion
You use the Airlift to create vacuum in the system.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'll assume you are referring to the Tiptronic cooler as the manuals did not have a trans cooler. First think you need to determine is if it is the cooler itself, or the lines, or the control valve that is actually leaking. None of these are particularly hard to swap out, but you need to be comfortable working in very tight spaces as there is not much room around any of them.
Once the repairs are done, you will need to top off the cooling system and get the air pockets out.
I have not done this swap because I don't think it happens that often. But I remember looking at it while I was under the car and it looks straight forward enough. Be sure to get all the gaskets and orings you need.
As for bleeding cooling system, get an Air Lift. You are done in 5 minutes. No bleeding.
No. The Airlift system is not designed to extract coolant, only air. You do a gravity drain, then evacuate the system before pulling the premixed coolant and distilled water (50/50 mix) into the system. One shot refill in about 5 min., no follow up bleeding required. This is why shops used this system, no come backs.
You empty your cooling system. All of it.
You use the Airlift to create vacuum in the system.
Then you let the vacuum suck in the new coolant to fill it up into all the air pockets.
No bleeding is required cause no pockets exist.
