Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I have an opportunity to buy a pair of Recaro GT3 seats. The stickers on the bottom are as shown. I do not recognize the part number can someone help in identifying if these are authentic. I do not want to put knock offs in my track car. Thanks

POST 2Original post

I suggest you send an email to the Porsche spare parts dept. to clarify, or simply ask for the part number.

POST 3Original post

Aren't those the same part #'s that someone posted on some knock-off seats awhile back? Check with Porsche but those don't look like Porsche seat part #'s to me.

POST 4Original post

K-Man and Capercat, thanks for the response. I found out they are authentic. Odd as it may sound the part number on these seats can be different. After several PCA DE events, with mirror and flashlight in hand, I was able to determine that the seats are real. Porsche PET schematics list them with different part numbers as do the Porsche Techquipment lists. As it turned out I opted for different seats. Your point is well taken as there are a lot of knock offs out there. Look for a gray tag with part number starting with 900, date in euro style(dd/mm/yy) the German phrase "SCHALENSITZ POR.LED.SCHWARZ" or the same with GS between POR and LED. Another way to tell if they are fake is to look on the slider release handle. It has a separate part # that begins with 996. If there is no part number on the handle thay are probably fake. Philips screws instead of torx on the back is a sure sign of a fake. Remember "Friends don't let Friends Apex Early"
