Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Sadly that logic made me stop using helmet cams on my sportbike rides.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So I purchased the HP f800x dash cam for my 996. I bought it mainly for the gadget factor. It adds collision warning (works well), lane departure warning (okay, not great), stop light car ahead is now moving because it's turned green warning and headlight on/off warning among many other "modern" features to the 15 year old 996.
Since it's camera based it's all works so-so depending on lighting conditions and traffic. Warning sensitivity is adjustable. The good news is they can keep improving the algorithm with firmware updates if they so choose. The GM factory camera based units work great, so it must be the algorithm. The recording quality itself is excellent and the install in the 996 took 5 minutes. It didn't obscure my field of view and it's very small so it doesn't get in the way. You can download all videos to your iPhone via built-in wifi and the built-in GPS works great for speed and mapping. Also, unlike the Garmin dash cams, it also records sound with video (what were they thinking?).
I paid $140, so I would recommend it to fellow 996 owners looking for a new toy/gadget. It's pretty cool for the money.
They can't take it without a warrant and the time it takes them to get that is plenty to remotely wipe the data and coupled with a hidden kill switch offers enough plausibility to "its broken" that they aren't going to bother for your average traffic stop.
Your average traffic stop isn't going to send it off for forensic analysis
Yes if you decide to run over a crowd of people while in Vegas I'm sure they would go to further lengths to verify your non-working claim.
