Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys, Im thinking of buying a 2000 996 tt with 60.000 miles, car has gt2 intercooler and ecu remapping, about 470hp, so what should I look for in these cars? Known problems? Thanks guys

POST 2Original post

Wheel bearings go bad, the front left pads tend to be a problem, The windshield wipers like to wear out early. But if you ask the TT guys I bet they'd be able to give you a better idea

POST 3Original post

That year is impossible to find. Try going for the 2001 model.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys, sorry for the mistake, I already posted on the right forum. At least you guys were kind enough to point me some issues...on the tt forum they indicated the search button...must be the turbo, it's so fast they don't have the time to help..hehe The car is a 2001 MY, built in 2000. Thanks

POST 6Original post

that or the question gets asked so often that it is a waste to type a response when very detailed posts can provide the answer. check the coolant pipes and over revs.

POST 7Original post

Blame Atrox and me. He was getting crapped on a little over in the turbo forum for asking the question and we pointed out that this forum is a good source for info as well as it is a lot more active. The advice to use the search function is valid.
