Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
I know it's a different car but as others have said you would need to maybe lower and change wheel colour to get the graphic to work.
Leading evidence: 'Replace wheel colour' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace wheel colour' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi,
I was wondering if I could extract some opinions out of some of you ....
I've got a Seal Grey Carrera which is completely standard, now whilst I enjoy the unmolested simplicity of the design I keep wondering about putting the classic 'Carrera' graphic down the side.
There is a guy advertising on ebay and I guess there are others offering the same thing. As for colour my initial thoughts are something discrete such as a lighter or darker Grey than the Seal.
What do you guys think? bad / good idea? I'd love to hear your thoughts ..
i've been making and fitting graphics for 20 years, not sure if its overkill but i personally think they're a bit tacky unless fitted by the factory...think
its best kept to the 70's and 80's, but hey each to there own, be borin if we were all the same.............i've seen some tacky sights in my time and always comply with customers wishes but it never ceases to amaze me, how some people like what i see as crap...everyone's opinion counts, it dosn't really matter what others think, if you like it do it, cause as many people that don't like it, their'll be just as many that do......
what a load of philisophical bull____!
bit board, does it show...
NO!!!!!!!!!!!
There's history behind that graphic and even as an owner of a C4 a 996 Carrera is not a worthy succesor to carry it. Plus it will look *****!
Apologies for the previous post, was a bit tipsy at the time.
Had a better thought about it as you say the car is seal grey.
I wouldnt do it, but what may work is if the graphic was in black, and your wheels were black and the car possibly lowered. In red on seal grey I dont think it would work, red on white car yes but not on a darker colour.
Thanks for the opinions everyone, it was a passing thought as after the owning the car for a month I'm finding myself beginning to ponder mods and upgrades etc etc
There's actually a Boxster in OPC Mayfair with 'Boxster' graphic down the side, written in black on a seal grey car. IMHO it doesn't really look right, almost cheapened it abit
I know it's a different car but as others have said you would need to maybe lower and change wheel colour to get the graphic to work. It works well with 70/80's cars and RS's but they have that pedigree...
Just my $.02 though....
Who is good on photoshop ?
Get a side view photo up and I am sure someone can photoshop it on..
I am not too sure on how it would look, as someone said, it would have to be a lighter grey and maybe the wheel centres in the same colour ??
If you got on the pistonheads Porsche forum there is a thread from a guy wanting someone to photoshop an Aerokit onto his car (its about 2 or 3 pages in), His car has the graphics on and i think it looks very good, (so does everyone else on there) its yellow with black graphics.
I'd post a link to the page but its got the number plate showing so best not to without the owners permition
Take a look
