Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i actually have one myself but its not fitted and i was looking to see if anyone has photos of it actually fitted...

POST 4Original post

You need to have an OPC fit it. The reason is so they can code the device to your car's airbag. It's different for every car.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i was going to fit it and get them to code it?.. got it at porsh shop but couldn't wait to get them to fit it...

POST 6Original post

Don't use it myself but was fitted by previous owner for use with 'Prince' seat

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

that's really helpful... thank you so much

POST 8Original post

Dead easy to fit- did mine myself in less than 5 minutes. Just remove the plastic covers over the ends of the runners (if fitted) and remove the bolts at the front of the runners. Fit the airbag module over the holes, replace bolts and covers. I did not connect the device (just push the 2 connectors together, you'll fine the car's connector under the seat, perhaps taped down) until I went to the specialist to have it coded, but in retrospect its easier to fit the connector together before you bolt it in- gives you a bit more room. Decoding takes 2 minutes, any specialist with the Porsche diagnostic software can do it.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

was going to do exactly that... will leave connectors off until i get to specialist... only problem is belfast doesn't have one... do you know, my opc was going to charge 2 hrs labour to fit it at £100 per hr plus vat...
