Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

It only appears on full lock so not too worried about it but having it checked the next time it's in.
Leading evidence: 'Check next time it's in' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check next time it's in' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

They said that it wasn't anything to worry about, but I decided to get it fixed because it was annoying.
Hi All
Strange problem just noticed with the car. In reverse and on full lock only esp when cold eg first thing in morning there is a horrid creaking noise coming from the front. OPC says perfectly normal as its either the power steering pump belt slipping slightly or the size of the tyres being 'dragged'. No noise on forward driving on full lock or straight driving. Any thoughts ? As always any replies greatly appreciated.
I noticed something similar this morning, reversing out of the gym car park first thing with -1.5c temp. My 993 used to do something similar in cold weather, I wonder if it is something to do with cold surfaces.
Just tried it again ....... now comes with a 'jerky' movement as well. Car should be warm . Did it for the OPC as I left it with them overnight ..... surely this can't be right ? Nothing other than ordinary recent driving eg no hard braking or ABS stops.
Mine's been doing that since the beginning of November, usually occurs when I have full left or right lock on and parallel parking. I noticed it also when on a large open surface with full lock on, in first gear with the clutch out, moving under the engine's idle. The noise originates from the front wheels, it's been suggested that it may be the bearings but not 100%. It only appears on full lock so not too worried about it but having it checked the next time it's in.
I think I know what this is. My Boxster had exactly the same problem.
Really noisy/grinding noise when it approaches full lock, but only one side.
It is the rubber in the wheel mountings. It's quite expensive to fix (cheap part, but a lot of labour), about 300quid from my Indy IIRC.

It was fine afterwards.
After they explained what it was, you could tell it sounded quite "rubbery!".
