Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

After weeks of trying to find my perfect 911 c2 facelift 3.6 tip tronic in silver/black with dark interior, whilst at the same time getting reasonable money for my p/x, and been offered a few around the 32-34k mark but felt they werent quite right for me. I have now plumped a mint condition 2001, 3.4 tiptronic c2 in silver (prefacelift). This was about 6k cheaper than facelifted ones (and in better condition) and im afraid it was just too good to refuse, given that my hunt for a 3.6 was unsuccessful! I will post a pic soon, but just appreciate your thoughts if you think ive done the right thing , or if u think I will regret it?

POST 2Original post

Buying on condition is very important. Saving 6 large is always good ! I know a guy who said he would never buy a yellow car, but in his search for a GT3, it was the car in the best condition so bought it.

POST 3Original post

I agree, I think a better condition car will give you more enjoyment than a poorer facelift and will also probably easier to sell.

POST 4Original post

I have a pre-facelift, and I actually slightly prefer the styling of the front lamps anyway. If you can live without a glovebox, don't worry about it and enjoy...

POST 5Original post

On the MK2, the owners manual and guides take up the entire space of the glove box, so not like it's any good
