Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Here are some pics, I just got this last week and it is much louder than the others I test drove. I am not sure what it is. (Last pic I thought was cute, my daughter helping me install my in-dash navigation)

POST 2Original post

Yes, they appears to be stock mufflers. They could be PSE (Porsche Sport Exhaust) mufflers, or the PO could have done the PSE mod to the stock (non PSE) mufflers. The 1st pic is what PSE mufflers look like. The 2nd pic shows the stock muffler (right) and a stock muffler (left) with the MK II mod which mimics the sound of PSE. You can have a local muffler shop do this for about $100 to $200. Let me know if you have any questions.

POST 3Original post

caption for last pic "Daddy, are you done yet? I want to go for a ride" yup cute

POST 4Original post

The exhuast tips are tequipment (an option)... you appear to have a Mk1 996... but have Mk2 exhaust, so... you have a good chance someone put a PSE or the PSE hack like time mentioned... to be sure which one you have.... peak under the car and see if there is a valve mounted on the cans. +1 on cute baby pic!
