Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

From my memory of the installation of the switch - yes there are several ways to cut out the 30-45mph cutout - as you suggest cutting or taping over the pin that goes to the pink/grey (speed signal) Or just disconnet that wire from the relay carrier (can be fiddly pulling the wire - I used a watch makers screw driver to push back the holding tabs in the carrier block).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Now i have my 100 cell cats, I really must put an end to the quiet 30-45mph period thats part of the switchable PSE. just where is the relay within the fuse box? I believe i need to either tape over pin 1 or ship a grey/pink wire? What do the two buttons do on the lower left hand side of the fuse box? Thanks in advance

POST 2Original post

What do the 100 cell cats give you on top of the PSE (which is the cans right? with the vaccum operated valves). Its the cans that that are controling the volume, what do the 100 cell cats do - better or differently to the standard cats? Excuse my ignorance - I have the standard PSE now with the dash switch (thanks Damian).

POST 3Original post

Two buttons? One of the buttons.......manual spoiler raise. I'd snip or remove the pink/grey wire going to the PSE relay or do as vlad describes. If you need any help with the with identifying the relay I can 'dig out' the info when I get home.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Cheers guys, had a look on RennTech and sorted the relay this morning. It now barks all the way through. Vlad, in reply the 100 cell cats along with the other mods allow the engine to rev much more freely. At 115mph in sixth if you nail it, she picks up SOOOO much quicker.
