Hi everyone Merry Christmas For the last few months I've been having a slightly lumpy idle as well as a starting issue. 8/10 when I go to crank the engine there is just silence. Dashboard etc lights up per normal THEN after 3 to 10 seconds the starter engages and the car starts right up. I'm big on preventive maintenance and coil packs and plugs were on my list. No difference. A fortnight ago the car would just not go past 3,000 rpm - hesitation and misfires. Just about nursed it home. Changed out the MAF and sorted that out BUT my starting issue has completely disappeared. I don't know why but if someone knows why then please let me know. Otherwise just sharing. I had the same issue with mine misfiring and I had to limp her home. It was a couple of days after a wash. I washed her and then immediately put her away. it rained hard for 3 days. When I went to start her up the engine light came and misfires we happening. So I installed new coil packs and spark plugs and bam she was back on her feet. Your issue sounds like coil packs and spark plugs. The moral of the story is drive your car after a good wash. Good luck and Merry Christmas... I always liked this photo, Merry Christmas!
