I have a Recaro start for the one year old, fits a treat and you can adjust the base to make the angle of recline much more civilised.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Quick question.
Is the rear seat space in the Cabrio any less than in the Coupe ?
The only way I can justify the 911 to my wife is if I can occasionally fit our 2 small children in the back, and I'd really love a cabrio but if it has less space in the back than the coupe then its not really an option.
I think it does by courtesy of the seat back being at an accute angle to the seat squab in the Cab. See if you can compare both cab & Coupe side by side and you'll see what I mean.

Hi
Are you planning on fitting child seats? I think it should be ok, Ive driven my cousins two kids aged 9 and 6 in the back of my cab and they seemed perfectly happy on an hour long drive.
Hi,
Until we got a dog, we frequently used the 996 cab for our family outings.
Kids 8 and 6 years old.
Even did a weekend in York (from Bristol) with a car full of luggage.
It is surprisingly practical.
Thanks for the replies.
My children are 4 and 2 so will both be in child seats, so it sounds like it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Now all I have to do is get some recommendations for child booster seats that fit in well without making the poor child sit bolt up right, or even worse be leaning forwards.
I have the official Porsche Prince, which is a Britax re-branded. It's quite an old style (3 years old), but my 3 year old loved it and my almost 2 year old really likes it.
I think the main reason for dislike is that it feels quite lightweight, but personally, I have no issue with it. It might not have the latest star ratings or approvals, but it is much safer than the booster that children can get typically from 3.5 years old (which, incidentally, does not fit in the back).
If you are thinking about putting in the front, you need a little air bag disable bar/buckle, which goes under the front passenger seat and the Prince has a seat belt buckle which connects into it.
The main issue with children in the back is that you have to move the seats forward (which are on a spring), as well as pull the seat-back forward....and it's difficult to get your seat back in the right position.
I'd avoid the fully electric seats (std seats are partially electric, but manual back/fwd), because it isn't quite so quick to move them forward IMO.
That said, the fully automatic seats have memory, so at least that saves mucking about trying to get the seat position correct again!
I have a four and a one year old - they both love the cab. I have a Recaro start for the one year old, fits a treat and you can adjust the base to make the angle of recline much more civilised. For the four year old, I just bought a booster seat and he loves it.
