This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Guys
Is it possible to retrofit PCM into a 2001 C2.
If not, is there a Becker system that is plug and play and will light up, matching the orange glow of the current system ?
Expected costs for either solution would also be useful if anyone has done this already
Thanks
Steve

The PCM looks good from the outside, but I've heard less than flattering reviews of its' functionality.
Not to state the bleedin' obvious, but how about a normal TomTom?
I looked into retor-fitting the PCM system as I had done a similar job with Mercedes Comand in teh past. To be honest there are better systems for a lot less money out there, or that is the conclusion I came to.
I got myself a Pioneer AVIC D3 system which includes sat nav (DVD based), ipod integration, DVD player, radio, CD player etc etc. It also links to my Bluetooth mobile telephone to provide full handsfree car-kit facilities through teh car speakers! You can customise the button colours to nearly anything that you want and you can change the splash screens too.
Overall I think its the business and does everything that I want it to - for less than a grand professionally installed too! Ipod is in the centre arm rest by the way.
Have a look at the attached pics and let me know if you want any more.
If you've an 01 C2, then you could only retrofit PCM 1 (as opposed to later PCM 2, post 02 2002) if you want to stay OEM. PCM1 is only marginally less out of date than maps showing the world as flat, with 'here there be dragons' written from time to time.
The good news is that as your car is pre fibre-optic MOST bus system, the world's your oyster in terms of upgrade.
Get a system like the one above, or if you don't want to go the double-DIN route, then have a look at a Becker Cascade which is more or less a straight swap for the CDR22.
It certainly did. I bought the blanking plate and the double DIN PCM frame from Porsche (about £65 all in) and they did the rest
I'm very pleased with it and everyone thats been in the car thinks its one of the best systems that they have seen.
If you get a video ipod you can even get it to play video from your ipod on the screen!
Guy
I was thinking about getting the same system installed in my car.
It is a 2003 car, the one of the MOST bus system. Is it possible to install in these cars as well?
It's also got a Bose system, if that makes any difference?
