The only thing I don't like is the design of the wiper arm which was for the original wiper and so it sticks out a bit when you have the aeros fitted on (hard to explain without me showing pics).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have just noticed that my wipers are crap and have a constantg film of water. I wanna get them replaced but no idea on makes expected prices and how easy to change them. Any one got any suggestion as the weather is turning grim and on the motorway it is a nightmare. Many thanks Richard 2004 996 C4S

POST 2Original post

I always buy my blades (bosch) from a nationwide chain called GSF, www.gsfcarparts.com . They're very easy to change. Good luck! Ray

POST 3Original post

Just bought Bosch ones from Halfords today. £22 a set.

POST 4Original post

Just changed mine and it makes a real difference.

POST 5Original post

Just got Bosch ones off eBay delivered for £16 and what a difference they make

POST 6Original post

Agree too.. Bosch is the way forward. Unless im mistaken it is the OEM brand manufactures such as BMW, Merc and I think Porsche too use? Got mine changed last week. The Drivers side is "Bosch 22S". Make sure you get the one with the "spoiler blade" to stop the blade skipping at high speeds.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

cheers chaps I will get on to it

POST 8Original post

Anyone tried the retro-fit Aero blades? I usually get my blades from http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk On the 996, are both the blades 22" long? Cheers Taran :?

POST 10Original post

Lol..yeh i'm not picturing it! Do you mean it protrudes from the top of the arm? Do you hav a pic by any chance? Lol Which blades did you fit? Was it these? http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/product.php?productid=16712&cat=720&page=1 Cheers Taran :?:

POST 11Original post

Yeppo - exactly those! I'll try and take a pic soon and post up. ~ Maxie

POST 12Original post

Thanks Maxie, much appreciated. My wipers are doing their best to drive me crazy at the moment! Lol Taran :!:

POST 13Original post

It might also be good to fit an aero blade to the back too- if for no other reason than it would make it less likely to scratch the paint when washing like the normal ones :x

POST 14Original post

Scratch the paint? How does this happen Robert? Taran :?:

POST 15Original post

When you wash the car, often one stands the rear wiper up to wash the back window. If you don't put it back down v carefully, or knock it back down when washing, it can spin round and put a nice scratch down the rear wing with the end of the wiper blade (as I learned to my cost). The best thing it just to pick it up a couple of inches, wipe under it, and gently lower it down again.
