Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

25 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

One of my daughters bought me this for Christmas - a nice leather Porsche crest-embossed key case. Problem is that the key doesn't fit! Any other nominations?

POST 2Original post

A wife? (only joking) [ ] I would think that hte Porsche Pipe must be up there. Branding for branding sake really

POST 3Original post

Didn't the last survey conclude that the most useless accessory was any given Official Porsche Centre ? [ ] [ ] lol

POST 4Original post

Could it be that it's meant for a Cayenne? (with a flip type blade) Stick it on Fleabay for a premium!

POST 5Original post

Playing 'Devils Advocate', the key case would seem to be a case manufactured by an unknown company and stamped with a Porsche Emblem. It was probably not even designed to take a Porsche key in the first place. In any event, the most useless genuine Porsche accessory is the Porsche Travel system luggage boxes which do not fit in the front of a 911,if you have a CD changer. Even if you don't have a CD changer, the fit is hopeless. The second most useless genuine Porsche item is the Alu Tech pocket ashtray ! This little gem has a laser engraved Porsche logo, and a push- button mechanism for opening the lid.The only possible 'optional' use could be for non smokers that pick their noses in the car![ ]

POST 6Original post

Extended warranty! Residual value! Radiator cap on a 911! [8|] Cheers,

POST 7Original post

NO, NO, NO. It is the driver. Or is that just in mine. (I wanted to agree with the wife one, but she is in the room and I am scared).

POST 8Original post

I would think the Sat Nav comes fairly close! [X(] Regards, Clive

POST 9Original post

Daughters...!!?!![ ] I am just joking.... I have three of them....and love them to bits... But somehow daughters and Porsche does not go....[ ][ ][ ]

POST 10Original post

Yes, I'm going to be in trouble for this one; My girlfriend in possession of a road atlas as I am trying to find my way onto the correct bit of Cambridge ring road from within. Never have I known a more poorly sign posted route for a main road. As she sat, open map on lap I asked "Which way?"- Response "How am I supposed to know". Tempers were fraid. I asked for a Satnav for Christmas, it doesn't answer back.....

POST 11Original post

Four wheel drive. Never been off-road in mine...... [ ]

POST 12Original post

Take a look at the Karman Konnection web site and the re pro items similar to these are £47.00. Ebay here we come!

POST 13Original post

You're clearly not giving it enough wellie then! Regards, Clive

POST 14Original post

Not really an 'accessory', but I find the analogue speedo pretty redundant.

POST 15Original post

In that vane, surely indicators are totally overkill. You see loads of new cars on the road nowadays that don't have them[ ]

POST 16Original post

That's right - what are those orange bits on the corners of car for nowadays? There is clearly a new highway code rule that I've missed. "Do not use indicators". No one seems to be using them now.

POST 17Original post

Battery condition gauge (what's it actually show you? Its pretty obvious if the battery doesn't work, and mine was still reading normally despite needing a new battery!) I'd rather have had an oil temp gauge. Rear wiper. OE porsche mats which wear visibly again after a short time.

POST 19Original post

Water inside the engine castings? (unless it's the heads on a 959 or GT1)

POST 21Original post

My wife bought me a Porsche wallet. However it has no press stud fastening, it just folds in half! One may say so what? However when its in your back pocket the two faces slide across each other thus increasing the overall width and its virtually impossible to then get the wallet out! As a yorkshireman thats probably a good thing but you do look stupid when it takes 5 mins to remove and you pull out the inside of your pocket with it! lol

POST 22Original post

Hi Craig Never had a wallet that has had a press stud to fasten it (must be another Yorkshire thing too). All mine have been like you describe and my current Porsche wallet is very nice too. Never had the problem you have had. I've always associated press studs on wallet as akin to carry a purse with change in! Maybe its down to the pressure from you backside when you sit down [ ] Now I have never seen, you but maybe you have a fat ass and it crushes the wallet!!!!!![ ] PS - only kidding about the fat ass!

POST 23Original post

Wallets in Yorkshire usually have locks on them (and no key to fit) . Does your ass still have it's own postcode Craig or has the enforced diet worked.

POST 24Original post

Diet is work in progress Fred! And Peter with a surname like that I'd expect nothing else from you![ ]

POST 25Original post

seconded - especially one who won't drive the damn thing
