Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I recently had to remove the front underbody lining and had difficulty removing the retainer clips. Is there an easy way to remove them without damaging the clips? Is there a special tool or do people just use a flat ended screw driver ? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

POST 2Original post

Hello and welcome to the forum! Take a look at the link below for a set of trim tools, they'll make your life a lot easier when removing trim/liners. Please let us know if you have any questions. Upholstery & Trim Tools - PelicanParts.com

POST 3Original post

No offence Dmitry, but there are 60 different tools in that link. Might you narrow it to the tool specifically for the clips the original poster is referring to? They are a PIA to release.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

See attached image. The clip is the standard clip that holds the front lining in place

POST 6Original post

I use a small flathead screwdriver, like a pocket screwdriver. Use your thumb to relieve pressure on one side, slide the screwdriver into the slot, pry the locking teeth out enough to release the end of the clip. Once one side is out the other one it easier to release.
