Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Both fuses in the fusebox that seem to be on the radio circuit appear intact, I understand that the radio has a fuse behind the unit itself, can this be checked easily.

thanks, will study the fuse arrangements in greater detail - I check ed the obvious one but there may be another because of the BOSE.

So I bought some radio keys to check the fuse behind the unit but they dont seem to disengage the locks - do these look right to you.

i changed the fuse at the back of the unit with no luck - I suppose these units can just stop working.

Outcome qualification: Negation, uncertainty or missing explicit repair resolution overrides the raw extraction signal.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Another minor niggle, radio no longer switches on. Was fine when I last drove the car but when I went back to the car after a few weeks the radio wouldnt turn on - completely dead. Car was "slow" to start as the car is currently outside in the cold, would this have lost the security code or something such like. Both fuses in the fusebox that seem to be on the radio circuit appear intact, I understand that the radio has a fuse behind the unit itself, can this be checked easily. How does this come out, do I need special tools cheers, Ray

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So I bought some radio keys to check the fuse behind the unit but they dont seem to disengage the locks - do these look right to you. I have tried one at a time, both at the same time, sneaking up to the car and surprising it but nothing works. Maybe these are just plain wrong Ray

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So managed to get the release keys to work - just a bit more determined once I was confident that I had them the right way around. i changed the fuse at the back of the unit with no luck - I suppose these units can just stop working. I did read that the amplifier can cause issues, is there another fuse somewhere? cheers, Ray

POST 4Original post

Take a look in the fuse box located in driver side footwell. There is usually a schematic in there showing what the fuses all are. Otherwise its probably a duff unit.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks, will study the fuse arrangements in greater detail - I check ed the obvious one but there may be another because of the BOSE. thanks
