Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

So the specialist I am using told me that there are only two ratings of spring - one for manual and one for tip - apparently the tip springs are stiffer.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.
PistonHeads: 1 discussions
0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.
0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.
Generation: 20261027T053112Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources
Here we go then - out with the old.
And now on with the new !!
Decided in the end to go for Koni FSD's and Porsche M030 springs.
Having some more work down at the same time - fixing a leaky windscreen, new rubber seals all round, new rear tyres and perhaps brake discs) but hope to get the car back in time for next weekend's run down to Essen for Techno Classica. Will let you know what I think of the new suspension setup.
Looking good, I have FSDs sat in my shed awaiting new springs and top mounts ready for install.
I'm surprised you are going M030, it seems M033 with FSDs are the way to go with them.

Aha.
One quick question, there I was ready to press go on ordering new springs, when I find out on 911.com, that there are differnt m033 spring rates, and that OPC might not realise it.
One rate for aircon, one for non aircon and finally one for a tip.
First I've heard of it, and to tell what you have is by the colour of the paint dots on the springs,
Does it really matter though I wonder?
