Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Just had my PS4S fitted today - even after 20 miles they are brilliant compared to the PS2 it was on ....

For now I managed to get the pss tyre repaired (I know that is a contested topic too).

I am running 295/35/18 x 245/40/18 pilot super sports.

Its going to be costly and frustrating to replace all 4 tyres which have very few miles on them.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So, i got a rear puncture.
I am running 295/35/18 x 245/40/18 pilot super sports.
These tyres are impossible to get.
So i am thinking of going ps4s.
Question is can i just do the rear...but the diameter will be 3% differential.
Its already 1.5%
Stock is pretty much equal.
Will a 3% difference in diameter destroy the diff?
Its going to be costly and frustrating to replace all 4 tyres which have very few miles on them. On the upside i think ps4s would be an improvement.
Any thoughts?
Many thanks K
Only you know how fast you drive, but there's no way I'd mix my tyres so differently front to back. I'd be ok with PS2 on one end and PS4S on the other, but isn't the Super Sport a much grippier, dry weather tyre?
I'd cough out for the set and sell the ones you have if they are still fresh
800ish for PS4S all round
Just go for ps4s all round, and try to sell for old tyres for a few quid.
Here in France you can pay a little extra (10 euros or so per tyre) and get a "tyre warranty" which covers all damage, I don't know if the similar exists in the UK?
Just had my PS4S fitted today - even after 20 miles they are brilliant compared to the PS2 it was on .... Turn is is sharper and they are much, much quieter
Beware as already mentioned. I used to run GT2 sizes front and rear. I decided to try standard sizes and for a short time had GT2 size on the front and std on rear. The PSM was not happy and was activating far to early.
Thanks for all the replies...i've been offline for a bit.
For now I managed to get the pss tyre repaired (I know that is a contested topic too). I will stick with pss for now until the next thing goes wrong and then will move to ps4s.
The super sports, as i understand it, are an improvement/newer vs the ps2...but not as good as the most modern ps4s.
Less noise would be good...and it will be interesting to see how the grip changes.
Are people using 235 or 225 front? (R18). I assume 295 rear.
Regards
K
I'll be swapping the front to new ps2 soon to fit with my rear ps2
Would love to upgrade to ps4s but wouldn't make because rear are brand new so that won't be for a while.
To answer your question, 225 40 18 front, 295 30 18 rear
