Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I used the 90 O2 extenders to get rid of the inevitable cel.
Leading evidence: 'Use 90 o2 extenders' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Reseal .and the new axle.came' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I've been running the TopGear 200 cell cats for a while and used the O2 spacers - no CEL at all.

Guy running the dyno was really impressed with the torque numbers it was putting down with the x pipe.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I just competed a tip to manual swap and found the bottoms if stock mufflers corroded beyond repair. I ended putting on a set of TopGear Sport mufflers and new 200 Cell crossovers.
Do I need to remap the ecu for the cats? Ive seen some discussion regarding this but havent figured out whay toncha ge in the dme.
Any help would be appreciated.
No need to remap at all. Depending on the type/kind of cat you have, you might have a CEL over time (10k miles as they wear in) but chances are unlikely. Bet it sounds great! I have 200 cats on my 991.1 S and love them and have been thinking of doing the 996 as well.
I also did manual swap! Originally had an x pipe with mini cats and 02 extenders to trick the stock ecu.
I just recently switched to a 200 cell catted x pipe with normal 02 sensor hook up and its passed emissions just fine.
Thanks guys,
Haven't driven it yet due to blown seal in the front diff and a torn cv boot. Already did the reseal.and the new axle.came today.
I haven't seen a cel at idle but I'll find out tomorrow sometime.
After doing g some reading i went with the cross over pipe as its supposed to give better torque, while the x pipe gives more hp. I'm not looking for top speed, but better launch for auto-x and DE. Plus it's a 4s so it needs as much torque as it can get.
To your question, I do have a custom ecu mapping, but I honestly can't tell the difference. The main benefit to me is the faster throttle response. I found the stock too slow for dbl declutching, which I do almost every shift from 3rd to 2nd. I hate the drag of the engine compression during downshifts. Syncromesh probably makes it unnecessary but I'm old school.
I've got the full top gear exhaust. No winter driving, so the stainless is holding up pretty well. I have the headers, xpipe and valved cans. I didn't weigh everything but it's a lot lighter no question. Will it last 20 years? Not likely but you never know I guess. I have my OEM cats and headers in case I need to swap back for some reason. I used the 90 O2 extenders to get rid of the inevitable cel.
DSaO.
I have the TopGear 200 cell X-pipe as well. I get a CEL after a few drives with them on. Added 90 deg extenders for a spell, but they were cheap and fell apart, the min catalysts inside were falling out. Inspection in my state requires visual inspection for stock (or stamped) components (every 2 years), so I switched back to stock this spring when they failed me. The stock divorced pipes sound a little bit better to me. Overall, getting more power from this lump is like trying to squeeze water out of a rock.
