Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Short story: The switch works if I put enough pressure at JUST the right angle. Time to replace the switch or is there a fix? Long story: I've had the issue for a while and just got used to it. A few weeks ago, some A-hole busted the window of my unlocked car. Took on the replacement myself. Hooked everything up and . . . nothing. I planned to revisit and trouble shoot the next day. So . . . next day I forget I had a problem and happened to push the switch with enough pressure in JUST the right spot and window works just find. Now I need to deal with the switch. Thanks. This is my first post ever . . . or at least in a very long time.

POST 3Original post

do check if your switches are recessed or flush with the door panel. if they are recessed, the plastic could be giving way....see this post and others like it. In my case, the hinge on the plastic gave way hence the switch had to be operated at an angle. window switch Sometimes the switch to work the passenger side window from the driver's side seems to sporadically not work and I have to reach across close/open the window from passenger's side switch. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing it and what I should be looking at? www.planet-9.com
