It looks like the previous owner has done something here because the liner is missing some of the screws that keep it in place, but the thing that I think is causing the problem is a bulge in the lower part of the liner that is caused be something pushing up against it.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My passenger front tire is rubbing against the wheel well. I can tell exactly where it is rubbing because if I turn the wheel all the way to the left when it is parked I can see it touching up against the wheel well. It looks like the previous owner has done something here because the liner is missing some of the screws that keep it in place, but the thing that I think is causing the problem is a bulge in the lower part of the liner that is caused be something pushing up against it. The drivers side doesn't have any bulge. I haven't taken the bumper of the wheel well liner off yet, but I was able to open the liner up a bit and it seems like the bulge is coming from the fan/radiator. Has anyone else seen anything like this? What was the problem and what was the fix?

POST 2Original post

There is a support bar that runs diagnal behind the fan and it has a tab for a retainer plug. Just pull the wheel and liner to check it out.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah, I'll do that this weekend. I'll let you know how it looks...
