The roads were nice and clear, excellent visibility with clean, dry roads, so decided to partake in a bit of spirited driving.

I encourage everyone this week to slip out of work early and use the opportunity to go just a little faster than rush hour traffic!

Had a quiet afternoon this afternoon, so had an opportunity to nip off before the traffic started to build up. The roads were nice and clear, excellent visibility with clean, dry roads, so decided to partake in a bit of spirited driving. This is what the 911 is all about, not speculating over whether there's a perceived reliability problem come about by spending too long on the Interweb and not having to sit in rush hour traffic wishing to get into double figures. I used to have an M3 and also had a Boxster and in terms of driver involvement, IMO there's no comparison between the cars. The Boxster is a much better drive (compared to the M3), I really missed (still do) the equipment level of the M3.....but the 996 takes it to another level altogether. Seemingly endless grip and excellent point to point performance. I also noticed that the Tiptronic aids heavy braking, so this makes me suspect that the Tiptronic is potentially a faster car to the "average" driver, in both stopping and accelerating terms. I am sure that all the manual car owners would disagree. I encourage everyone this week to slip out of work early and use the opportunity to go just a little faster than rush hour traffic! Just wanted to share that with everyone.

Thanks for sharing My journey home is full of speed humps (London :roll: ) and is damn painful when u have such a firm riding car. However, there is one section that is quite twisty and normally quiet and this makes the drive home totally worthwhile :twisted:
