Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

If they found you had replaced a fan belt with some Agent Provocateur tights, which in turn had caused engine failure, you might have some explaining to do.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Am I correct in assuming that the warranty will automatically be renewed on payment of the annual fee or does the car need inspected again?

POST 2Original post

After the inital inspection in which you get the warranty, as long as the warranty is active and does not lapse you are able to renew the warranty without carrying out another inspection.

POST 3Original post

IIRC you have to have services done at an OPC too, or you will need the inspection.

POST 4Original post

when i renew i just call up the OPC and hand over my cc details

POST 5Original post

you dont need to service at OPC, but if they found any non porsche parts fitted they wouldnt pay up.

POST 6Original post

I didn't think it was as cut and dry as that RE warranty claims... :?

POST 7Original post

True - it probably isnt that cut and dried. I suspect if they found non-porsche parts on your car they would still honour the warranty if those parts were nothing to do with the fault. If they found you had replaced a fan belt with some Agent Provocateur tights, which in turn had caused engine failure, you might have some explaining to do.
