Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I thought the switch for rear spoiler was bad, checking wires, fuses, no rocker switch on horseshoe, until I finally found & read that ignition has to be on for it to work in garage.

So far, did the radiator cleaning process, not fun.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My 996 C4S is missing the little ****-latch thing that allows to seat back to tilt to get to the back. Does anyone know if a simple replacement **** thing is all that may be needed? In addition, are there places that can put new or higher foam in the seat bottom? The gray leather seats are power up/down,etc.
A while ago, somehow I tripped an alarm and had constant beeping - not fun on a long solo trip. It wanted seat belt fastened, but the driver seatbelt was "locked up" and I couldn't get it down to lock. I took the passenger seat belt and locked it into driver slot and alarm stopped, but no seat belt for me. Somehow, the alarm cleared and let go of my driver seat belt. Anyone know what I did that was stupid or accidental? Now I unlock the car (always locked in garage to maintain battery+tender) and the alarm goes on after I open the door. If I put key in and turn it and get a zillion red lights, then key off, remove key, alarm does not sound. What gives?
New owner of 3 months trying to read manuals and user stuff to learn about the MANY idiosyncrasies of a C4S. So far, did the radiator cleaning process, not fun. After 20 years, different fasteners and screws that didn't match, battery terminal bolts murdered and stripped, etc. For some reason frunk would not latch-closed, head scratching, lectures on what is happening, then it just decided to lock-work correct again. It sorta leaves me lock-shy (gun-shy) of opening frunk again if it won't lock back up. Wheel interiors black, it took a while to clean them up, cleaning everything piece by piece. I thought the switch for rear spoiler was bad, checking wires, fuses, no rocker switch on horseshoe, until I finally found & read that ignition has to be on for it to work in garage. It works fine driving because I can just see the lip in rear-view mirror. Light-savers for rear lights installed. Reading Durametric stuff is pretty handy. JMO.
I went for a "spirited drive", relatively large numbers in speedo (middle one=4) and loved it. However, I do not have headlight washers, I have a small chrome plastic oval on headlight. Or rather, I used to have 2 of them, one of them departed on the "spirited drive". If anyone have one that has damaged tabs or whatever, $ reasonable otherwise, I'd buy it. I'd just double-stick tape or glue it on, NBD. Lemmeno.
YMMV
