Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Team 996, Our cars need a G12 coolant the day they came out of the woob in 1998. Fastforward to 2024 and there's now G12++. Everything I'm reading it is better corosion protection and it is a straight swap/recommended. What are the smarter people than me in the room (which is pretty much everyone) thoughts? Justin

POST 2Original post

I am using Zerex G40 G12++ in my rebuild. No issues. Note that i noticed a difference in coolant type between Zerex and Peak. They are not compatible so I top off only with Zerex.

POST 3Original post

I purchased a couple gallons of Porsche-branded coolant concentrate from my local dealership and in small print, on the bottle somewhere, it says G40. Ill be using Zerex G40 the next time I refill my cooling system. @jandackson what difference did you notice between the Zerex and Peak?

The Zerex is HOAT (hybrid organic acid technology) and Peak is OAT. I have read some accounts that they are compatible but decided not to risk it on my brand new engine.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
