Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

As well if you have a volt meter I would check the voltage from time to time - fully charged should be about 12.6V or more.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Left the keys in the ignition, and came out the next morning to find the battery drained. To make a painfully long story short, they actually had to flat bed the thing to the dealer, where it sits on a charger as I write this. Next time, I will be prepared. The experience was embarrassing. A guy pulls up in front of my house with a flatbed truck about a mile long, backs it up with beepers going off like a brass band, and then we had to get people to move their cars so we could safely get it out of the garage. Next time, I'll just shoot the thing like a lame horse.

POST 2Original post

Sorry to here that mate. doesn't it beep when you leave the keys in the ignition? Lol I love the lame horse line

POST 3Original post

But its still a croc, so watch out. It bites!(and eats chicken bones as we found out from an old thread)

POST 4Original post

There is a procedure in the manual to jump start the car. Couldn't that have been done instead?

POST 5Original post

Did you leave the lights on - even with the key in, I can't see it drain the batter this fast - of course it happened as you reported, so there is a chance your battery had a problem, or possibly your charging system - I would ask them to verify that the alternator and the rest of the system are working fine. As well if you have a volt meter I would check the voltage from time to time - fully charged should be about 12.6V or more. Hope you will be able to avoid this type of problem again so you are not forced to shoot the croc ;-)
