fortunately I did test a turboS with x73 a few days before I put the deposit down and didnt have any issue with it.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just found out that the turbo i've put a deposit down on has the X73 -20mm option... it wasnt in the options print out the opc gave me.... I havent driven a turbo on standard suspension as the other turboS I tested also had X73... can anyone tell me just how much difference X73 makes... does it make the car markedly less compliant and is the trade off in the corners worth it ?
Thx

Miras,
After all this time of researching the right car, and then actually placing a deposit on a [£50k+] car (with the intention of buying it), I can't believe you didn't actually drive it to see if you liked it or if it drove well ! :?
X73 option is rare, but it's only good if you like it. If you don't like it, then you'll rue the day you spunked 50G on a car you don't like the ride of... Think carefully before pulling the trigger mate...
Thanks for the feedback guys and espec the info on what X73 consists of.
I hear ya on the 'try before buy policy' Ade, but unfortunately circumstances dictated that I either put a desposit down with the opc sight unseen or lose the car... opc actually had a couple other buyers interested in it. X50 blk on blk with massive spec and <30k miles seem to be rather popular !!
fortunately I did test a turboS with x73 a few days before I put the deposit down and didnt have any issue with it. Certainly it was firm, stiff even on rutted and bumpy country lanes but on the motorway it felt very "hunkered down".
Not having tried the standard suspension I wasnt sure whether people thought the compliance trade off on X73 was worth it... but certainly now knowing that my car has it doesnt put me off.... it just means I have to find some twisty and smooth tarmac to take it to....
Think of the X73 as in the middle between a GT3 and Turbo/C4S, it's not adjustable (unless you have the GT3 sway bars/droplinks) it's setup by Porsche to be the best OEM sports suspension for the Turbo.
Actually collecting on Sat and the car won't be in London for a couple weeks thereafter until I've sorted out all the paperwork for it... residents permit etc etc...
Am very happy with the car, it seems to have a very driver orientated set up with X50, X73, and factory short shift... other spec includes PCM2, large alum pack, htd sports seats, alum console, wheel, gear & handbrake, roof, 6cd etc etc.....
the opc have been brilliant to be honest, as much as that may suprise some people, they know the car inside out having sold it from new and it never being serviced anywhere else.... they've really brought it up to scratch also including giving it a minor service (it had a major w/sparks 6k miles ago, and was also serviced in the interim), new discs and pads all round and new rads amongst a page's worth of other work to ensure its up to scratch. The paintwork is also immac. I guess thats what you pay the opc premium for.
Looking forward to catching up with everyone & espec the polarexpress
Hey Miras... don't look into the OPC eyes for too long... ... look into my eyes the nice lady says... look into my eyes...
Besides, I always though the OPC premium was for the eye candy, nice coffee, free drinks, and biscuits.
