If that's what it costs, then so be it, but I have no way of checking their honesty.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello all...Happy New Year... I have a 2001 911 Turbo and my rear spoiler (right side) is not moving up/down fully. I brought it into the dealer who inspected it and said that there is a hydraulic pump that drives the two circuits to raise/lower the pistons. Apparently, one of my circuits is not functioning and therefore the hydraulic pump can't supply pressure to the right side. They "claim" that the entire pump needs to be replaced because of this faulty circuit as its internal within the hydraulic pump. They also said they need to change the lines as well as part of the fix.... all this lovely news translates to about $1500.00 plus 4 hours labor to fix it..... Is there ANYONE out there who can comment if this is reasonable? If that's what it costs, then so be it, but I have no way of checking their honesty. All in all, it's going to cost me about $2300 including everything. Anything?...anybody? many thanks John
